economy-healthcareThe economy has become an issue that is effecting everyone.  We must determine what is worth spending our money on and what is not.

Is getting a massage worth the money?

Some say it is a high fee for only one hour of work ( average massage time).  The best response to that is, try working out for an hour straight and you will see that the fee is quite low in comparison.

In all honesty this is a perfect opportunity to let them know the benefits of regular massage.

We can take steps to insure that we maintain our client base and hopefully continue building that base.

The best ideas are those that offer the client a price break.  That can be done in a number of ways.

Give discounts for a multiple massage package,  referring friends as new clients, create a coupon book.

Keep your work options open as well.  The spa is not your only option.  You can be an out-call Therapist.  This will open up new areas for you with individual clients and contracting to businesses.

Examples would be nursing homes, amateur sports, chiropractor’s, or even partner with another massage therapist and specialize in couples massage.

There are even discounts you can offer for non-peak times.  The summer offers up many clients which gives you more freedom to discount your prices,  where as the fall can take away some of your clientele.

Be creative and use all of the resources available to you.

We can also make our clients feel cared for by remembering what music they enjoy and what oil blends they have chosen.  Keeping that information on hand can be a large part of your success.

This post has been very general with information most Massage Therapists already follow but it is always helpful to have some of the small reminders to keep us on track.

Happy Earth Day.

Remember to check out an awesome site for health and wellness at www.cureyourbody.com.  You will find wonderful information and tips on all kinds of health issues.

As always choose each day to be blissful and complete, a whole person well cared for by you.
